Dispersed in the middle of the vast Indian Ocean, the pearl like islands ( approximately 1190 coral islands ) of the Republic of Maldives is indeed a heaven on Earth. With its sparkling white beaches, turquoise lagoons, warm crystalline waters and coral reefs teeming with marine flora and fauna, one can get the feeling that Maldives is indeed one of the wonders of the world as Ibn Batuta described.

These 1190 islands are classified into Atolls and these Atolls cover an estimated area of 90,000 square kilometres which makes Maldives one of the most scattered places on Earth.
The fact that Maldives is one of the most exotic travel destinations worldwide cannot be denied. Yearly people from across the globe opt for this place due to its natural beauty. It provides people the chance to remain isolated from the rest of the world and appreciate the beauty of nature.
